Just got back from an EPIC weekend. Did make it over to Bar Helios.. Spent $100 on just myself. That's a bit steep y'all. I'll try not to go there too hungry again. :lmao: I did have the pork belly over a corn puree that was DIVINE. Worth it for that... The sliders were okay but def not worth $13 a pop (it comes $26 for 2). The wings were fine but I could leave those too. The Pandora's box cocktail was great though just.. very small for the price.

Also, I got to see the $125 parking charge for Helios for myself. They validate if you spend a minimum ($75?) but it still comes up when you're exiting and then they give you something else to scan but that didn't work so had to call for help. I would never pay $125 for parking. I'd sooner die.

Went to Pizza Moon and it did not disappoint. I wanted to eat here just for the visuals inside and wow. What a stunner. I absolutely love the early 1900s/'Trip to the Moon' vibe. The pizza wasn't bad either!

I got the Pizza Lunare, which is described as having roasted garlic béchamel, fromage de lune, ricotta, pancetta, garlic confit, purple celestial ube crust. It's also that purple pizza if you've seen it on social media. You got me. I got it because it was purple.

And I'd get it again. :lmao: It's just such a fun novelty that fits the park so well. I did end up scraping all the ricotta off though. It was too much for me. Also, I went solo and only made it thru half my pizza. Asked for a to-go box... they don't have any! The food waste hurt my heart.

Man, Oak and Star is such a relaxing spot. We posted up in the center room at a table with high-backed chairs, which was super comfy. The Grilled Peach Arugala Salad there was maybe the best thing I ate on Universal property (my breakfast burrito from Papi's Burritos in East End Market was the best thing I ate in Orlando overall).

I thought all of the salads I had at Universal were great. Seems like a point of emphasis for the Epic eateries, along with all the restaurants with recently-refreshed menus at the north campus. Nice to be able to mix those in with the other junk I was eating.

Another highlight for me was Star Sui Bao. Both the Tteokbokki Skewer and the vegetable steam bun were incredible, and came out piping hot, still plenty fresh by the time I lugged them over to Mead Hall to eat indoors.

Does anyone else feel like the food/snack/drink stalls around Celestial Park are a little too indistinct visually? It's all very tasteful, but I found myself wanting splashier signs or some sort of weenie on the top of those things to help draw you to the one you're looking for. No disrespect to the Celestian holding a bottle of Coke. That's a good start, but let's get even tackier.

Maybe. I was standing in front of the fountains for the show at night and I see a lit up sign across the way for a place called Meteor Astropub.

I was like.. is that a real place? :lmao: Totally missed it.. Apparently they serve food too.

The brick and mortar restaurants are gaudy enough for my tastes. But I had trouble distinguishing between all the kiosks ( i.e. Frosty Moon, Starbucks, Comet Dog, Concierge Stations/lockers).
