I wonder how this will play out.. I'm a little concerned because I was so excited for the Last of Us house, but it actually didn't do much for me. Hoping this one will be better.

Glad to hear! As a bunch of us said, it's definitely a different vibe and feel than most post-apocalyptic stuff!

I've seen a LOT of posts about this already on my Facebook feed - it's reaching the general public pretty quickly.

It is a shame this convention isn't until August... it would've been the best place to drop the announcement.

I'll be honest... FNAF and Fallout dont have me too excited. I liked both films (ok series) and I havent played video games since N64 days, so I cant comment on that. But man this seems like a kids event so far. Hopefully Jason, Art, and some originals start to level this ship.

I will say that both announcements so far will bring in a brazillion people to the park.

Kinda funny that for the last 3 years the first IP house to be announced during announcement season is the post apocalypse IP lol.

2023: TLoU (I know Chucky was the first IP announced this year but it was really early and way before announcement season. TLoU kicked things off)
2024: A Quiet Place
2025: Fallout

As you’ve said the other IP’s will level things out.

I imagine the originals this year will be very traditional in the sense of being dark and gory so I think most people will have been accommodated for in terms of demographics.

I know this wasn’t what you were doing here so not @ you, but I’ve always thought it was interesting when folks say things like “I don’t want another post-apocalypse house” as if the IPs (including these three as an example) aren’t all incredibly distinct.
