Going on Sat with friends. We plan on going to Le Goblet and Das Stakehouse. Any particular items that are great and those to avoid?

The general consensus I have seen is that people are a bit let down by Das Stakehaus, but they also love Burning Blade (which is what I expected from this site honestly lol)

Das Stakehaus has the better vibe/seating, Burning Blade has the better food. So order food from Burning Blade and eat it at Das Stakehaus is my recommendation. Get a side of the stake fries at Das though.

Am I correct in that you can't sit inside Burning Blade to eat? Is it only the pickup window?

You can eat inside, but there's virtually no seating. There's like two benches inside, and a few poles that have a bar like platform to hold your food. There's 3 tables outside, but IMO the bar was underbuilt for seating. It's a nice bar, but it was built more like the Hog's Head rather than an actual lounge space (which IMO, was a misstep).

Strange they created a full food menu for a bar without seats

Yeah, that's strange. You'd think it would just be a couple of light appetizers.

Good point. I like the idea of a walk-up bar like the Hogs Head... but I'm not sure the concept works as well when food is served.

I’m actually annoyed that a lot of these “bars” aren’t actually bars. That one bar on IOA used to have seats , I swear it. Now it’s walk up only. I understand they why, but it really just becomes an indoor kiosk at that point

Backwater Bar? Yeah I sat there at had lunch and drinks once! There used to be seating in there too. Now it's all standing, not even tables to stand at.

Wow, I used to go there often, but haven't the last few years. It was nice ambiance with that adventures club like setting.

Yep! Used to be a great place to get out of the heat and sit down for a drink. Now the only seating is outside , which completely defeats the purpose. You also can’t order a drink and sit in the restaurant either. Pretty lame ! Drinks are still good though. They make a mean spicy marg !

I wonder if it's the plan as our bartender said "drinks only, no appetizers at the moment" when we went. He gave us the same physical menu as the restaurant itself, so I wonder if it's thats the long term plan?
