I'm always a little puzzled how a "soft opening" for an escape room facility even works. "Hey, come on in and pay $50 for something that isn't officially open yet?"

As for the Nintendo store... it's arguably in Nintendo's best interest to open a standalone location somewhere other than Universal property, as they're already well-represented there between the land itself and the heavy merch presence throughout the park and Citywalk. It's in Universal's best interest to open a Nintendo World location in Citywalk to drive traffic to their shopping district. Make of that what you will.

And that's without mentioning the caveat that the SNW merch is all Mario Bros

I'm assuming it means they're open, but it isn't fully advertised, so crowd levels are lower and more manageable.

It would be insane if they could somehow bring it to little Tokyo

Little Tokyo needs it at least as bad as Citywalk tbh, I’d be really happy with that

Never ate there once. Honestly, I'm sort of surprised it lasted as long as it did.

Closest I've ever been to it was applying for a job there years ago lol

Honestly, i wonder if we need to just relocate everything to a "Citywalk Closure" thread at this point. I feel like more closures are on the way

Goodbye and good riddance. Grossly overpriced and mid burgers.

Don’t know what kind of restaurant they could put in there but anything would be an upgrade IMO.

EDIT: Okay I’ve got some ideas: KBBQ or maybe a Jolibee! Jolibee SLAPS.

EDIT 2: Better idea: Bring. Back. Fuddruckers! I’m so sad that place has left California. This would be a great place for that!

It is amazing to me that a single Johnny Rockets exists in 2025.

I have fond memories of going to Fuddruckers when I was younger. There are a couple still left in my state but none are close by to get to.

Based on the current composition of eateries in CityWalk Hollywood, I think a KBBQ place would be the best. The Raising Cane's under construction there makes having a Jolibee little redundant IMO.

That's why we scrap Cane's for Jolibee.. problem solved.

Besides, let's not forget we have KFC a few feet away on the 2nd level from the new location lol
