I really don't get this logic. It really wouldn't be difficult to incorporate both. Start the house going into the vault, then exit out the vault after a couple rooms and go into the wasteland for the rest of the house.

I'm just going by what they did for TLOU - focusing on one specific location. There's SO much stuff and so many different locations for Fallout, and they may want to just focus on one particular thing - and I could see them wanting to focus on the Vault.

I'd love for them to do what you mentioned - but I'm just basing it off what they've done in other houses.

I think it will be difficult to incorporate both effectively into an HHN house - so if they have to choose between the two, they'd lean toward more vault stuff than wasteland stuff.

We also didn't get a lot of actual "locations" in the show - mostly general wasteland

For the most part, both the games and show spend probably a majority of the time in the wasteland. So it would be weird to just only have it be in a vault, losing most of its charm
Plus having fallout just be in a vault, is like making the stranger things house just take place in the normal world. Not the upside down

That's not the best comparison. Yeah they picked only one location for TLoU but there was a bunch of different settings in that house still. The vaults are not as varied as Pittsburgh. It would feel like Hellblock Horror and none of us want that lmao

I personally want it all to be set in vault 108 from FO3 … with 100 Garys running around.

Seriously though, FO is one of my favorite game and TV series. So I’m also worried about my personal expectations.

Absolutely - The Last of Us was my all time #1 wishlist IP and while I really liked the house, there was some slight disappointment.

And you want to know what my all time #2 wishlist IP was (now #1)....? You can probably guess lol

I wonder if the end of the house will be New Vegas to have a teaser of season 2. That would be amazing

I came to the same conclusion Codeman did as the corridor style dwellings of the vault would work best for the house for both purpose of it being a literal haunted house mixed with the immersion of thematic elements we know from the show/game. Plus, i just don't think we're going to get Last of Us/Quiet Place style nondescript dilapidated building interiors or Dead Man's Pier/Blood Moon level 'depth of field' and change of scenery, so to speak, but i'll get into it.

If we're sitting outside queuing up for the house, the best choice for an overlay/facade for the house is the vault entrance - we're already outside and we're entering a vault. Narratively, it's just the strongest point, even from the show's 'take shelter' perspective. From there, i actually think it's going to be a lot like BUGS: Eaten Alive had a baby with Seeds of Extinction both in theming and aesthetic where we witness the sold-bill-of-goods that the shelter brings. It might start off weird with some dwellers surprising us or a Mr. Handy catching us off-guard, but i assume we'll be invaded by bandits and the vault will depreciate both literally and narratively as the worst of the apocalypse finds its way in OR we find a way out(if closer to the show). Radroaches, screaming vault dwellers getting massacred, Gary (if we're lucky), ghouls, and maybe a cool beast or two (radscorpion? super mutant? gulper? deathclaw?) with a suit of Power Armor to finish the narrative as we 'leave' the vault when we literally leave the house/maze. I'd 1000000% rather them spend money on costumes and puppets and creatures and give us bland, dark vault corridors than give us bandits and ghouls only and the house have various post-apocalyptic settings from the games/show. I'm not saying it's going to be an either/or situation, as we very well could get both, i just want to holster my own personal expectations based on what we've seen and what we know we're likelier to get. Ex: Is it easier to put us "outside" inside a horror nights house or put us "inside" inside a horror nights house? Pretty obvious, if you ask me.

On the other hand, the overlay could be a Red Rocket station and we could be seeing Power Armor sitting there and the narrative of the entire house/maze could be various post-apocalyptic settings. I don't know, but if i were betting on anything - i'm personally putting money on the former - and the Red Rocket sponsored by Nuka Cola will be our food booth.

EDIT: And if what Legacy surmises is true, and we get more of an adaptation of the show and it follows those themes/settings more than the game and we do end up getting best of both worlds: ALL THE BETTER!!

I would LOVE for this house to have the depth of field of DMP/Blood Moon, but like @LPCaptainDeath said, I have doubts that it would happen.

Regardless though - Fallout is my #1 IP wish (if you haven't figured it out yet lol) - so I'm stoked for it to come regardless.

I'm also still curious how they're doing Terrifier. Will it be an original concept using that IP, a book report of the movies or a mix of both? As long as Sienna is in the house that's all that matters to me. She's such a cool character and one of my favorite final girls. I would be a lot less excited for this house if she isn't featured.

With the facade at Hollywood pointing towards the funhouse being a part of the maze, it seems like the maze *might* actually be following some scenes from the films. I hope that they do an Ultimate Kill Count kind of thing though because it really feels like it suites Art for whatever reason.
