My tangent…

For those who think this project is somewhat underwhelming or unambitious we have to remind ourselves that Universal always starts with a USF style park first before they experiment with new layouts.

Anyone expecting EU 2.0 had unrealistic expectations in a new unproven market.

Personally I can’t wait to see what the final design ends up being.

Jurassic absolutely will. Besides, one of the reasons why I wanted Jurassic World at Epic is because the Beijing version is GORGEOUS. The mountain looked real, the waterfalls, the coaster going through it, the aviary dome, the Innovation center and main ride that's in the Innovation center. It's so spectacular.
I wish IoA would just revamp all of Jurassic Park to World. It would just be better, theme park wise. But I do love Jurassic Park and hold it close to my heart.

I think this layout is Universal's best option. Universal builds smaller/compacts parks, so a lagoon that requires guests to walk around it makes the park feel much bigger than it actually is.

Hollywood at the front, and the films after.

Disneyland Paris does ~10M guests a year
Disney Adventure (WDSP) does ~5.5M guests a year
Europa Park & Efteling do ~5.5-6M guests a year each

London's metro population is ~15M (~45 mins on train)
Paris' metro population is ~13M (~40 mins on train)

I can see it reaching 8.5M without a significant IP.

Tommy's great work clearly illustrates how much space they have still to use. I expect as they refine their plans (or maybe they already have), that excess space especially on the Manor Road side of the Park will be properly utilised.

I am probably under drawing how much BOH needs to go there, especially if any houses don't get compulsory purchase and hold out they might want a buffer, but the park needs a lot more than on the plans if they want to be hitting nearly 24k visitors per day, there's also a notch on the right I left blank in case the "Shrek" building on the perimeter road needs to be bigger for an E-ticket cos it's only 0.79 acres big that's half a Mario Kart ride.

Where could any future second gate go? The patch of land north of manor road?

That is fabulous Tommy, excellent work! Thank you for doing it, and for sharing it.

The expansion pad space behind Paddington is particularly interesting to me, because when I was zoomed far too far into the concept art yesterday I thought it felt like there were some very square lines "almost there" if you know what I mean, like they'd been erased from the art, as the tree fill there feels different to elsewhere on the map. So maybe a dark ride show building is behind the London facade, or was at some point anyway.

Another question I have if they do a light show at the end of the day or something of that nature how’s that going to work during the summer when the sun doesn’t set until 10PM?

Granted it’s not for long but 9-10PM sunsets will be an occurrence for a few weeks during the summer.

I am guessing there won't be fireworks every night with it being quite near to local housing? do we know if all the universal parks have some sort of nighttime show? or is it just the parks in orlando?

it's exciting that we will have a park thats open past 5pm LOL and themed lighting not just generator lights!

I assume you'll have 11pm park close, like they do at Disneyland Paris. Their fireworks / drone shows will be kicking off about 10.40pm for most of the summer season.

Not sure if anyone has noticed yet, but the footer of the website Universal UK Project | Universal Studios Great Britain Resort now features copyright information, all but confirming Jurassic Park/World and Minions.

I have concluded that this new url is a forgery meant to troll us, and this is further evidence of how and why they will.

The url was not registered by nbc universal as others were. The website live mirrors the real uk project site. All official documents still list the official Uk project site url. And there’s suspicious code in the source file.

Do not trust this version of the site!

The real site is still and only has been Universal UK Project |

Which does not have that footer copyright

IMG_8760.png

EDIT: Also, the forgery site has Universal Studios Great Britain in the meta title, which is a name fans use but has never officially been used by the company ever. This was the first step they took to troll us.

I hope someone reaches out to the company for comment on the validity of this new url. Because I’m 99% sure it’s fake.

Thanks for pointing that out. You always go the extra mile to make sure the info we obsess over is as legitimate as it can be.

Part of the reason my story took an extra day, I really wanted to get things like this right. Ended up cutting two paragraphs out after I saw some questionable things in the site code.

Otherwise that name in the site title would have been huge news on the resort name.

There are plenty of other parts of the UK and France that arent London or Paris.

The population of the UK and France are around the same. Have to factor in the fact this will be an english speaking park which will attract more visitors than if it was french speaking park.

On the topic of TLOTR has anyone heard any rumours surrounding the reason it is suddenly close to happening and specifically in this location? (just heard a pretty compelling rumour from someone close to the Tolkein estate).

Yeah, just pointing out the largest metro population in close proximity to the parks.

Euro Disney was a failure due to how overbuilt the resort was at the start (and all of the anti-Disney issues), but this park should be received far better at the start.
