Isn’t there a firework show rumored for opening day

It stinks but isn’t too surprising. They have to physically haul this thing everywhere and the potential market in the west coast just isn’t big enough — people in the west just really don’t go to UOR or WDW at high enough levels

The park needs to be open earlier than 10am, 9-9 is a common theme park time in Orlando.

No, it is rumored for the opening ceremony/event. Probably a few nights before for media and invited guests.

We also have an Epic store in CityWalk Hollywood, so we get our Epic fix there. Though for some reason, some people from the GP think Epic Universe is coming to Hollywood as well, which... I can't wrap my mind around.

Yeah im not confirming anything, just what ive seen on a few other forums and was curious if anyone had a more clear idea as I dont know if any of these people are trustworthy sources.

For what it’s worth I’ve said 9-9 as my guess on a podcast and folks may be repeating it. I don’t think anyone knows for sure yet.

For all the naysayers— it was 88 and sunny today and there was plenty of shade to be found. The deciduous trees are getting leafy and will continue to grow and fill in.

This trip I was specifically looking and there are water fountains and water bottle fillers just about everywhere. We did the Freestyle all day and there are Freestyle machines all over. The only place lacking Freestyle is Wizarding World (of course), and Meteor was closed for filming today and the Coke stand isn’t open yet, so the only time I had to really walk to get a drink was from Wizarding World.

It’s not perfect, but it’s also not done yet…

That’s no surprise, the CityWalk store seems like it was done with minimal effort. I also would have had zero idea what it was without prior knowledge

I could see online hours being updated on first of the month, but definitely not an announcement, right?

I just hope when they announce previews that tickets immediately go on sale and not another waiting game of "when are the going to announce tickets already"

I believe there may be long downtimes at times, but that’s one of the benefits of previews before official park open. If they identify an issue they can close a ride immediately and work on it, which will better the experience in the long run without having paying guests in the park (who tend to complain more than TMs who have been given multiple opportunities to visit).

But I get where they’re coming from. Obviously the longer TM previews are extended the more folks will wonder if AP previews will ever happen.

We’ll just have to wait and see.

I find it slightly lame that the parks soft opening is being reserved for friends : family. I mean I get it , but I sure do miss the good ol’ days of soft openings where anyone could go , assuming the park decided to open that day.
