OK? and there are 365 nights. Take out the 60 or so nights for HHN, and you've got more than half the year open for 11 hours or more. What I said wasn't wrong.

You said "Universal was open more nights past 8PM than before".

And cleared it up with "from Nov 2023 to Dec 2024, not counting HHN. Universal was open more nights past 8p". C'mon, dude... you can't be this dense.

I questioned it because I wasn't sure what you were referring to. You brought that comment out of nowhere.

You highlighted a 2 month period where UOR had more 8PM closures than not. I'm referring to a full year since I can't just take a specific set of data that supports my argument.

Maybe I'm losing it, but I'm pretty sure this is being completely misunderstood lol.

Pretty sure Brian is saying that in the span of November 2023 - December 2024, 8 PM+ closures were more the norm than the outlier. And RBLX, pretty sure you think he's comparing 2024 to prior years. Hence the below note:

Brian G. said:

Speaking of, make sure to throw in Grad Bash, Gradventure, Rock the Universe, all of the OI meetups, etc. as well.

You literally brought this up with no specific time frame. How am I suppose to know you were referring to Nov 2023-Dec 2024 excluding HHN?

My first comment afterwards was asking for specifics. Really bothers me you think I'm trying to be intentionally dense for the sake of winning an argument.

Edit for Additional Data:

In 2023, there were a total of 280 nights where USF was open past 7PM (241 excluding Sept/Oct)
In 2024, there were a total of 245 nights where USF was open past 7PM (209 excluding Sept/Oct)

Whoa.... hold up. OI Meetups go against the average park guest. Closing USF/IOA early in favor of this special ticketed event is not by any means a positive attribute. I'll hold firm on that opinion. It's like saying Disney After Hour events should count towards increasing the amount of hours for regular park guests.

(Sorry for double post, but I had to chime in on that).

Feel free to throw out the OI meetups then. I simply do not care about the park hour debate lol. Was just trying to clear up a 20 post misunderstanding. This thread makes me hate theme parks. It's after 5, so I'm gonna clock out and let those who enjoy the discussion continue. I miss having fun talking about Powerade bottles in castle windows smh.

Yeah, as the informal host of this thread (I created it because this subject is one of my personal fixations)... let's please move away from the general operating hours aspect.

I'm much more concerned with what's operating during those park hours!

I think the issues with USF are obvious enough that getting this deep into the weeds feels a little silly.

I'm definitely with @belloq87 of wanting substantial sweeping changes much sooner than we will probably get them. The park is not in a great spot at all, and barring the Halloween season, I believe it's the worst theme park in the Orlando region currently operating.

There are massive structural, thematic, and operational problems with the park as it stands. The park doesn't just need new rides in the buildings that are already built; I believe parts of the park need to be restructured completely. I don't want Pokemon in the BTTF building or Fast Food Blvd, and I think simply retheming the Shrek and Hello Kitty buildings was a long-term loss for the park as I would want to see it.

I want sweeping Diagon Alley, Super Nintendo World-tier changes across the entire park. That entrance area could be beautiful, spacious, and thematically consistent with itself. I want everything from the Coke building to Animal Actors bulldozed and redeveloped from scratch. Epic and Islands both prove that this resort can do incredible things. I want USF to find a visual and thematic identity befitting the name-sake park of a world-class resort. And some variety in the ride line-up wouldn't hurt either.

I understand why this hasn't happened yet, and why it probably won't for some time. I will continue to believe that USF offers a fairly low-quality experience compared to similar offerings across the resort and the greater theme park industry.

"GA-MBIT called. Wants changes!"

While I'd love for the sweeping areas you're wishing for, I also hope that Universal holds on to the Studio aspect in some areas.

I want those USF changes on my desk tomorrow, Parker!

---

I can agree honestly. The last thing I want is for it to become another loosely connected IP park like DHS, DCA, Disney Studios are slowly morphing into. There's a middle-ground of a Studio park with high-quality scenery that feels connected and purposeful.

One more controversial point.... USF is uglier than DCA 1.0 aesthetically. Not talking attractions, but DCA had more interesting visuals than USF does I think.

DCA had Grizzly River, Golden State, Paradise Pier... and the entrance sucked but that at least had some kinetic energy with the sun and fountain.
USF has Diagon & Hollywood... that's it.

And one more you test drove on the discord. Like a troll.

Seriously, have you been to DCA 1.0? I have. USF is significantly better than DCA 1.0.

You think you have these hot options to debate but man you’re just annoying and tiring as hell.

I love to talk to people about theme parks? I also post a lot in the blue sky channel and elsewhere... and you purposely choose to ignore all the positive things I've contributed on.

I posted it here first, and decided to add to the convo elsewhere to get more opinions. Not everyone is on both discussion boards.
