That is weird, the outside was already in 3D :worried:

Was I...maybe they replace the outside part with cut out plants to make the pancake screens less jarring. :innocent:

The resurrection of this thread gave me quite the tingle in my undercarriage. So happy they're finally taking care of this and that it will likely be in tip-top shape for 2025. Any word on 3D returning? I know everyone assumes it's a lost cause but there is always hope.

I honestly think the priority now should be the return of scare actors. 3D is never returning. However, if Epic is going to have potential scare actors in queues, why can’t we return them for Kong? We do that and all of a sudden the ride has vaulted itself back into a must-do ride for Islands

I don't think there's been any rumors suggesting that the ride queues will have scare actors, or any part of Dark Universe for that matter. Gregory Hall stated in a panel that the queue for Monsters Unchained will have "jumpscares", but that will likely be accomplished through lighting/sound/screens, and not be comparable to what is found at HHN. There's generally too many liability issues with keeping scare actors in ride queues, and I imagine there were guest complaints because of them being featured in the Kong queue.

I agree but i find it hard to believe that there would be any strong cases for liability issues when they were successfully able to implement scare actors for almost 4 straight years. Clearly it worked, and clearly they stopped to cut costs when Covid hit.

I seem to recall that a scare actor was punched out by a guest playing hero for his gf....and that incident keyed the decision to remove scareactors.

Ok you guys, i’m at Kong right now. From what i can see squinting my eyes through the tarp in single rider line, a lot of equipment is already out on the road and it looks like they’ve begun work.

The entire road looks totally different. It looks bright white. Indeed they have begun re-paving it quickly, likely gonna get new sensors too!

I’m ecstatic!

No really. I was trying to hard to see that i was literally waiting for the wind to blow the tarp up so i could see everything in full view. I was standing there so long one of the team members was wondering why i wasn’t going into the building to board

Breaking News from Skull Island: They have also fixed the B mode transition scene in which sliding doors and torches didn’t work for 3 months

However now the door opens and closes for transition scene and the torches operate normally now!

Boy when i tell you it smells so much better now that the scene works how it was designed. Very crisp
