Saw something on Twitter that Chloe Zhao is going to write and direct Dracula for Universal. From Discussing Film:

Additionally, Zhao is set to write and direct a new take on Dracula for Universal Pictures. Her interpretation is described as an “original, futuristic, sci-fi Western with themes of being on society’s fringes.”

“I’ve always been fascinated by vampires and the concept of the Other they embody. I’m very excited to work with [the team] at Universal to reimagine such a beloved character” Zhao tells THR on starting work on the upcoming feature film.

Update on the Luc Besson "DRACULA" film recently released...

I attended an advanced screening of this February 2nd. I honestly forgot this was even being made, let alone coming out lol

I give this a 6/10. It wasn't "terrible", BUT it wasn't "good" either. It was surprisingly entertaining. The execution could've been A LOT better, definitely needed to decrease the humor severely. However, the soundtrack was great due to Danny Elfman.

There were a lot of aspects I liked, as well as visuals, but the unnecessary comedy interjected really killed a few scenes unfortunately.

It is definitely worth a watch, but probably best to wait until streaming. Or at least pay half-price on Tuesday/Wednesday at AMC (Tuesday for Regal)
