I think that's really what it originated as, but then they probably realized they could get some return on investment by charging smaller vloggers to come see these food/drink booths early.

Might hopefully help keep the booths less crowded opening weekend since they were filled with vloggers last year.

Instead, no one bit, they've been forced to reduce prices (twice, I think?), and the target audience has taken to publicly hope they get on the media list.

I will never understand the obsession that some vloggers have with this food.

I'm glad these booths exist for a number of reasons and they do add to the event, but man. Never have I gone to a theme park event and said "you know what, I'm gonna spend double of what I already spent to get in here, and use up hours of my time to eat some niche food items that aren't as good as they probably should be."

Maybe I'm just getting old and bitter.
