Peter Jackson has announced another new film in his version of Middle Earth. No director has been announced, but it has been revealed to be a project co-written by Stephen Colbert and Peter McGee (Colbert's son). The concept, seems to be an adaptation of Chapter's 3 to 7 of the original Lord of The Rings book, but with a wraparound narrative to allow it to be set after Frodo's death.
The project announced has been in development for two years, as Colbert will be using his time once he leaves late night, to work more intensely on the upcoming film.
