I saw an earlier rumor that the villain may be Clayface. I would love to see it, where it’s a make-up artist hiding in plain site. Grounding one of the more ridiculous rogues, especially one that hasn’t been in a movie so far, would be fantastic.

The director has also stated he wants to do Hush (but I think Hush may be too similar to the Riddler story they told).

Yeah, I thought that one scene in the last one was the biggest mistake.... it just felt like "????". Way too forced. Other than a few weak catwoman scenes, It was an immaculate film.


As far as villains go, would love to see someone a bit less grounded, but Black Mask could be good.


Or they could just put this on ice and bring back the same team to do Batman Beyond. That'd be cool too.

I guess there's just a Batman movie curse or something now. The DCU Batman film Brave and The Bold is now in development hell. Very odd

I could've sworn there has been rumors and speculation that they might be looking at integrating that of the ReevesVerse into the DCU. I actually kind of wonder if that might be holding out potentially true.

The lack of clear movement on this film since 2022 has seemed totally bizarre to me. There has to be a lot more to this story, because from the outside, it seems these are the only options:

1. Matt Reeves is incredibly lazy and is irresponsibly dragging his feet, allowed to do so by an irresponsible WB management team.
2. WB has decided to not value arguably the most important cinematic character they have.

Neither of those make a lot of sense to me, so there has to be something else going on. You just can't allow five-and-a-half years to pass between installments when you're relaunching a franchise.

Anyway, James Bond fans sympathize, because the Daniel Craig era (and now beyond) was and is plagued by ridiculous delays.

This would absolutely meet my definition of "something else going on."

And while I'm extremely sympathetic to wanting to keep health issues private, Reeves saying, "Hey, I or my family are going through something that has taken up a lot of my attention" would certainly spare him from people otherwise assuming he's got crippling writer's block.
