NBC is turning New York’s Rockefeller Center into a haunted house, with a little help from Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon and the team behind Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. The company is launching “Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares” next month, a haunted maze experience based on the nightmares of the late night TV host, with “10 terrifying rooms” of frights.
The company says that it will bring “the nightmares to life in a fully immersive haunt with terrifying sets, practical effects and scares behind every corner,” and was designed with the team behind the Halloween Horror Nights experiences that have become a popular annual tradition at the Universal Studios theme parks. NBCUniversal’s Global Franchise Management group also collaborated with Fallon on the real-life experience.
