I've always welcomed the IJ ride idea, all the way back a few years ago when @Disneyhead mentioned it was probably coming. I'm not hung up on the animal integrity of AK like some are. I just want a park that's more balanced with entertaining attractions like IJ will certainly be. Zoos are fine, but when they are also theme parks, they need more than the animal trails/exhibits etc. that feel old after repeat visits. I welcomed Pandora, and that really helped round out AK. These changes to Dino land sound like they will be very positive for enjoying the park.

Good bit longer than I expected when Tropical Americas was announced. A year ago, I wouldn't have put it past them to just kinda .. close Dinosaur one day with no real fanfare haha. It's gotten a solid bit of love this past year, and that's nice. I'll savor this time while she's still here.

They're going to do the yearly refurb of the raft rapids ride in late fall instead of it's usual winter shutdown. I'm sure that's
due to Dinosaur closing Feb. 1.....Not many rides left in the park.

I assume they want some sort of a bounce in crowds for January, and of course the holiday season. Literally ride it out.

January has been a busy travel period for Orlando (better weather), so not surprised to see them push it until Feb.

Excited to see how quick they can turn around dinosaur into Indy

New Imagineering Display Debuting at Hollywood Studios Today Featuring Upcoming Disney World Projects

Walt Disney World has announced that a new display will debut today at Walt Disney Presents inside Disney's Hollywood Studios
blogmickey.com blogmickey.com

Good look at the model for the area here, which is now on display in Walt Disney Presents.

My only concern looking at the model is that it does not depict the wall of the showbuilding at the exit of the attraction being themed at all (though the released concept art has shown that wall being themed). Perhaps that's such a small detail that they just didn't bother to include it on the model... but hopefully the final product is not just a giant beige wall.

While Indy should have been an expansion (and at DHS or MK), I'm looking forward to it a lot. My favorite IP and I can not wait for the overall improvement of DAK.

I just really hope they don't drop the ball.

A singular ride is plenty. It’s not like it’s a massive merch seller anymore and no one is itching to eat monkey brains in Pankot Palace.

And a great ride system that didn’t need torn down was sitting there waiting for a retheme. I personally would have liked the Emperors New Groove and made the exterior Incan; but the ride vehicle would have been an odd one to try to work out story-wise. So I think Indy was the next best choice.

I haven't seen the Indy movies in a while (especially Last Crusade), but based on what i remember Temple might be my favorite.

Of the original three, there's really no wrong answer. They're all great.

RAIDERS, overall, is my favorite (and among my top three or four favorite movies of all time, period). But the last 40ish minutes of TEMPLE OF DOOM are absolutely spectacular, and probably the peak of Spielberg's action filmmaking.

Treat yourself and rewatch them!

Watch them base the ride around Dial of Destiny lol!!! Hey, if they went that route, at least we'd still have a ride in DAK based around a dinosaur lolol!!!!

I would have rated them Raiders, Last Crusade, and then Temple. The other two do not merit consideration. I figure that this ride is going to have the word "Forbidden" or "Curse" in its title somehow. Probably integrating the Mayans somehow, maybe the end of the world or some curse within a Mayan temple or structure.
