I do not understand people riding a water ride NOT WANTING TO GET WET lol.

Jurassic Park River Adventure is one of my favorite rides at IOA, but the few times I've sat in the front row, my clothes have gotten completely soaked, which put a major damper on the rest of my day. I love the theming on Popeye and Dudley, but I never ride them for this reason. I feel that WDW strikes a comfortable balance with the amount you get wet on their water rides.

So you get soaked if you do?

Yes, for the blue targets that have the X on them. The targets that have the fire symbol don't trigger water effects(?). If you hit the blue X targets, there are some fun water effects that trigger that could get you really wet.

But the thing is, you get soaked if other people near you do. Or the people behind you on the boat who aren't in your party. Or if the other boat behind you decides to open fire on you when you turn around the bend and are side by side.

If no one else is on the ride but you, you can get off the ride barely sprinkled at all. But unfortunately we do not exist in a vacuum, so prepare to be drenched—cause it's possible.
