Ok, so we are in a new week. We have only 12 weeks and 4 days until opening night. Can we expect an announcement this week? I mean, really.. what's the delay?

Yeah, that is a good point. I feel like 2018 and 2019 especially were really really good about announcements. I miss when they announced all the different originals and Ips throughout spring and summer. Not, you know, what they been doing the last few years

The wait is annoying but I won’t lie, I love the rapid fire announcements! Even if we get a week of originals we still will be getting announcements fast.

TBH I'll rather them not be for the originals but the zones/shows will be fine. The first year of the original week was nice as it was a surprise and we had 6 originals (one house every day of the week) Last year and this year we don't have 6 originals to do that. They did it last year and when we had a day with no announcement people were upset

yes, dozens of people that desperately need to go touch grass were upset they did not receive an announcement for a theme park event they've already committed to attending. it's a tradition unlike any other.

I hope we get each original announced on their own. I don’t like when they dump them together, it feels kinda like an afterthought and they’ve done it in the past, so it’s also kind of lazy for them to just dump everything together.

I get marketing and the other random corporate buzzwords and whatnot for why they wanna push the Ip announcements so much but the originals matter to the event and should be treated as such with marketing. Also, the originals tend to be the best houses

In the past (HHN 31 and 32) they announced all the originals in one day. For HHN 33/34 they announced each original house once a day for a week’s worth of announcement. I like how they did it for HHN 33/34 vs previous years.

And same with the scarezones being announced one-by-one for a week’s worth of announcements (HHN 33/34) vs being dumped in once single announcement like HHN 32.

Alrighty, Pinhead from reddit's HHN group is hinting at a house announcement this Thursday. What do we all speculate the announcement could be?

I'm thinking Hellraiser, however this Thursday is 6/11 which is "upside down" of 11/6 which is Stranger Things Day, so it could be Stranger Things 5 being the IP announced...

Stranger Things day makes a return

Honestly wouldn't mind it, them running one of the houses during the day was cool as hell. Doing one of the tents in the back of the park would be neat for this.

In general it's a pretty fun idea to have some little part of the event lingering as juuuust a tiny sampler for GP and people that love HHN. When they ever do another Christmas or winter-themed house it'd work even better.
