If the call was made to delay things preemptively, then why didn't they announce that on social media earlier? Would have saved a lot of refreshing lol. We're they just holding out hope they could solve the problems in a few hours?

Possibly, yeah. And there are likely a lot of internal stakeholders who had conflicting ideas, too. Some folks were surely hoping to go live on schedule; others were clearly pushing to hold back. You don't make an official announcement until something has been completely confirmed, which would explain the delay.

Speaking from experience, big organizations like this have a lot of cooks in the kitchen. Sometimes even the simplest things can be extremely difficult to get out the door if too many people have a say. Feels like that's the situation here.

If and I mean IF the reservation attempts go sour again, they will be left with two options.....well, three, with one of them being to try it one more time (Which would be cutting it insanely close). The other options would be to cancel AP previews, which we know that's not gonna go well at all, or just forget reservations and just use the APs as guinea pigs for the reservation systems.

The only way I could see someone pulling this off is if they chugged two Duff beers, a Monster, and listened Freebird while attempting this.

Saving this for the "Why We Can't Have Nice Things" thread.

Also you can optimize the route by doing a head bounce off of Yoshi, then wall jumping between the tree and the wall.
