This is late but unless Chucky turns out to be 2023’s icon and there’s a vague theme about dolls or whatever I don’t see a M3GAN house happening. It’s redundant to have two houses featuring homicidal dolls.

Eh I wouldn’t count on it, 2023 my prediction feels like a theme to death. Dias de los muertos perhaps post halloweeen. Like after Halloween” chucky has cheated death lots of times. As for M3gan it’s, it’s own thing. If it comes, it comes.

Did anyone ever find out why Casper was a part of the Studio Screamers line-up?

A part of me believes they did it just to say they had Casper at HHN, but there's another part of me that thinks it was a test to see how guests would react.

Brian said the below last year. That's as much as I remember hearing. Leaving in the Scooby part as well since it keeps popping up in here

3. Casper was never planned as a house or zone. I guess someone saw him show up on the Screamer merch and assumed it was a lock. Scooby was just spec out of control. Those properties just skew toooo kiddie. It's not that there isn't house potential, it's just not a demographic they want for the event.

This is completely unrelated - but I just need to say, I absolutely hate the Studio Screamers stuff. lol

It makes sense that HO1C wouldn't come back so soon - but with the popularity of the house and the RZ zone, I always wondered if there'd be potential for Devil's Rejects to come to the event.

I haven’t seen the Firefly Trilogy but what I’ve heard I’m not quite sure Devil’s Rejects would work as a house exactly.

What would the possibility be for the original My Bloody Valentine? It’s been a dream IP of mine for awhile and I always wondered if they have never done it do to rights, or cause they just haven’t gotten around to it. I love that film and have been dying to see it become a house. Just wondered if it is at all possible.

I think one of A&D team members have said before they felt My Blood Valentine wouldn’t translate very well into a full house even though Hollywood had done this before at 09 too, so they gave us a scene in Sliver Screams instead.

Did Hollywood do the 2009 remake or the original 1981 film? I’d love to see the 1981 film turned into a house. I like the remake too and I don’t know if that would maybe make a better house. Either way I rewatched Silence of the Lambs recently after all these years and I don’t see it being any better of a house translation than My Bloody Valentine. But Silence of the Lambs is the obviously far more popular property and if we’ve learned one thing over all these years of attending Horror Nights, if they want to turn it into a house, they’ll figure out a way.

I think they could pull off Silence of the Lambs if they create newer scenes by pulling some parts out from the novel that never made it in the movie. It’s very common when film adaptations don’t have everything to retell the story in a different way for various reasons.

yeah they did the remake, wasn't the best house ever. The original movie holds a soft spot in my heart.

One thing I’m wondering about My Bloody Valentine is how much Orlando could pull it off. I definitely want them to do the original, but they could take some inspirations from the remake and change the aesthetics, and the mine shaft is a must as a facade. I think the IP would work well as a house if it was located at either of the sprung tents.

Yes, it does. I'm sure we'll see a cult classic IP next year, but Idk what it'll be.

There are a lot of them out there, but many of them are probably too niche and I'm sure have rights issues.

Tbh, Universal could just bring back The Exorcist to check off the cult classic box because of the new film coming from Blumhouse next year.

The Munsters would make for a great show and the new Munsters movie could've opened the door for that, but it apparently flopped big time. I enjoyed the movie tho lol.

While it could help with crowding issues, I just don't see escape rooms working at HHN. I imagine the line for those being ridiculous. Retheming the escape rooms in CityWalk makes much more sense to me as it wouldn't be the first time they've rethemed something outside of HHN.

Just to comment on escape rooms, they would definitely not be able to have a HHN re theme. They are just too elaborate with too many moving parts to just be paved over with new theming.

Ah what the heck might as well throw it in there (if it wasn’t already). So I just found out that Winnie the Pooh is in public domain? And there’s a horror movie coming about based on Winnie the Pooh? I honestly thought it was a joke at first.

So yeah; could Universal actually do a house based on the movie for this year? Or at least do an “original” house on it? I don’t think Disney can Sue Uni for it… could they?

Then again I could see Universal pulling it off specifically to flip the bird at Disney so.

Personally I would be freakin’ ENRAGED if this does happen. And I’m not even attending HHN (so far). This whole thing just screams edgelord to me. But this is just be throwing a suggestion and it could very well be a possibility?O:

Universal doesn't are enough about Disney to try to antagonize them with a cheap shot haunted house. This type of thinking reminds me of sports fandom. Fans will always, always care more about their teams "besting" the others with venom than the actual players will. Disney does their thing, Uni does their own and they both just traverse the same entertainment landscape in whichever way they see fit.

Subjective opinions aside, the public domain Winnie the Pooh horror film would also be the absolute worst pile of drivel that they would ever decide to turn into a house. There's absolutely no chance they would look at that source material and get excited over a potential house.

If it ever becomes a rumor and it officially comes to the event, I’ll welcome Pooh with my arms wide open. Blood & Honey is the only IP I could think of with a “WTF” Factor that has a better shot unlike The Mean One & Cocaine Bear. Thank God for the public domains!
