Universal did say the new area would contain an “entertainment center”.

There is space north of the parking lot that would be perfect for a large CityWalk type area.

No permits for such a thing have been filed yet, as far as I’m aware.

Now where would they have gotten Citywalk 2.0 from

If Nintendo store was the anchor, and new flagship Nintendo store in the US, I struggle to imagine Nintendo doesn’t want that opening day.

I’m fine with a CityWalk 2.0 I just hope they try to differentiate the two as much as possible. I know they technically provide the same thing. But it would be cool if they introduce some new concepts for this park version.

I’d expect EU city walk to be impeccably themed, tbh.

I mean... right now we have some TM rumors and no real solid info on a South CityWalk...

They also mentioned Illumination IP in the parks.

I think an entertainment complex will come but I don't see it being essential for opening.

I’d just think they want more “new” Nintendo here for the park opening. DK is gonna be great, and I know more people go to Orlando than USH in general, but, I feel like the new flagship Nintendo store in the USA is something Nintendo wants right away, and another draw for Nintendo fans that they can’t get anywhere except for here. Just think it’d make sense for both parties involved, but obviously a lot more $ and work on Universal’s end.

If not for first phase, I imagine they want the EU restaurants to get a lot of focus.

Part of me also thinks he just misspoke.

Everything I’m hearing about the restaurants makes me believe they’re all going to be great. I don’t think the park alone needs a new CityWalk. If people want something more, they can always jump on the bus up the road.

If Comcast decide to partner up with the Shingle Creek golf course for golf events, that’s also a lot of hungry day guests.

I’m not saying it’s essential, but I feel the companies in charge here would think so? Could be a wrong read.

It’s wild how there’s definitely land for a 4th park and 2nd CityWalk. Crazy stuff, crazy stuff.

Some of that future will depend on how the basic park (Epic) performs during it's first couple of years. I'd guess the tentative plans after phase one opening will be flexible and changing.

Hmmm I kind of wouldn't be surprised if Pets found its way into the hub next to the big gift shop

I wouldn’t either, but Orlando seams to be anti SLOP so idk what to think.

I also find it odd that they wouldn't put SLOP into USF when they have a New York area and already had a great system to replace Shrek before anything happened in Hollywood.

My two favorite dark rides at Uni take place in NY and neither are located in the NY area. Don't think they really care.

Yeah, by that logic Bowser has been a Disney IP for 8 years seeing as the character was in Wreck-it Ralph. Just like Disney, all Illumination is doing is licensing the character.
