I think Dreamworks and Nintendo will be more than enough for kids. Don’t think they need to waste a world on toddlers only. Dreamworks and Nintendo allows them to hit the younger demo while also getting adults.

Yea, Universal clearly wants to get away from having things that are clearly aimed at one demographic and is going for a more balanced approach

On my last trip to Universal Studios Hollywood, I was surprised at how many PAW Patrol shirts I saw kids wearing (but not as many as the Minions, Jurassic Park or Harry Potter shirts). They even outnumbered most of the franchises at the park like Dreamworks movies and The Simpsons! Because Universal only seems to have the rights to Dora, which isn't popular anymore, maybe they could do an interactive PAW Patrol experience at the park, since that is a Nick show and they have the rights to SpongeBob and Dora, this would work well. The story could be that Ryder and the pups go on vacation to an amusment park, but chaos break out when Sweetie comes and causes trouble by making the experience unenjoyable for the patrons by telling them to do things you aren't supposed to do at an amusment park! The pups ask for the help of the visitors to teach Sweetie theme park safety. I think it would work well as either a puppet show like the Disney Junior show or a 3D movie like the Legoland Bob the Builder movies. And besides this, I think the fourth park should expand upon this with a Nick Jr. area for younger visitors. Some ideas I have:
  • A Bubble Guppies splash area
  • Blaze and the Monster Machines (or Rusty Rivets, since both involve STEM) Kiddie Coaster
  • A Hogwarts-like Shimmer and Shine or Wallykazaam! experience
  • A Sunny Day salon similar to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where children could get makeovers into Nick Jr. characters.
  • A Blue's Clues experience (since the show is coming back)
And if they don't renew the rights to Nick, a good substitute would probably be the Universal Kids preschool shows. Some ideas I have based on what they currently air:
  • Bring the touring Caillou costume over to Universal. Caillou is their biggest show, and modern kids seem to relate to it more than Barney. Maybe have Caillou do shows throughout the day?
  • A Nina's World exhibit or experience about hispanic culture. Or maybe they can do this with Ollie and Moon but with world cultures?
  • Super Wings flying planes ride.
  • A Wiggles ride. Maybe remake some of the old rides that used to be at Six Flags or do a splash area.
  • A Dot. interactive experience that teaches kids about STEM and technology.
  • Masha and the Bear's House. This would be similar to the Mickey and Minnie's House attractions at various Disney parks, and Masha and Bear would make occasional visits.
I'm not sure if they still have the rights to these shows because they don't air them anymore, but they are listed anyway:
  • The PAW Patrol theme park safety idea could work as a Noddy Toyland Detective ride, since that show is about solving mysteries AND is made by Dreamworks (which Universal owns). I was also thinking that Furchester Hotel would work for this, but then I remembered that in the US, the theme park rights to the Sesame Street characters (Elmo and Cookie Monster appear in the show) are owned by Busch.
  • The Land Before Time dark ride: Like Noddy, Universal owns this, and the show did air on Universal Kids for a while. It could be based on the movies rather than the show.
  • A Maya the Bee playground where children discover the world through the perspective of a bee.
As for stuff for older kids, I think that there should be rides for the newer Dreamworks stuff like Captian Underpants, Trolls and the Boss Baby, but I haven't thought of any ideas.

Modern Nick Jr properties like those would be more appropriate for this generation than Fievel over in KidZone.

But Universal has their own competing preschool channel....makes no sense for them to advertise someone else properties before their own.

They still have Dora/Diego at the park, so it's not like they've cut all ties with Nick Jr.

Nickelodeon is a bit too finicky to base attractions around...Spongebob would be the only I would use

I mean Universal Orlando discussing the possibility of Fantastic Worlds being the possible name for the park all they talked about was Fantastic Beasts, Jurassic World, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, I know Star Trek is Sci-Fi World involved but the possibility of a Sci-Fi World & Horror/Classic Monsters land I mean on other Orlando Disney & Universal theme park news sites has not been talked about I’m saying. Orlando Informer for instance has not mentioned it. I get my news sources from Screamscape I always thought they’ve posted accurate theme park news articles.

Sci-fi city has been discussed. It’s in Singapore and seems almost obvious to be discussed here.

Ok but Horror Land/Classic Monsters not really. Back to the future and Jaws have been discussed as possible new revivals into new ride systems but it is not happening like all of us are saying. I just think The Meg could make shark flicks relevant again from Warner Bros. If Universal did an attractions from WB The Meg instead of using Jaws. Don’t laugh that I said that.

A launched BTTF coaster would just sound so cool in a Sci-Fi World.

Horror is easy because Universal has a lot of horror/scary IPs they haven't leveraged.

Sci-fi is harder because outside Voltron, Battle Star, ET, and their Japanese stuff, they own no true Sci-fi films. All of their science fiction stuff they own is strictly television nor do they have any science fiction based films in their upcoming projects (All are fantasy, animation, actions, comedies/musicals).

Star Trek has already passed by, Star Wars is Disney, and Fox owned most the other sci-fi franchises which leaves what?

Got it I don’t see how Jaws is’nt a classic monster though he’ll always be popular though even though he’s not coming back. Is Bruce still their at universal studios Florida where diagon alley is? I mean the replica of him hanging? His mouth open. I know people want to quickly move on from Universal Studios Classics like Kongfrontation, Jaws, Earthquake, Back to the future, Ghostbusters, Murder She Wrote, Alfred Hitchcock brings back so many unforgettable memories of Universal Studios period and one of the most iconic Universal attractions that is still around today which can be found at Universal Studios Florida E.T Phone Home!!!!!!!! Lol.

I really hope that given Spielberg's relationship with Universal as well as their recent collaboration with WB, that they consider putting Ready Player One in a Sci-Fi City or Oasis based land. That would completely give them the excuse to do a launched DeLorean racing coaster along with so many other possibilities. They could use all of their current and past IP's as a way to give us fans the IPs we either miss or want most! I think RP1 would really help round-out Fantastic Worlds.

The “Classic Monsters” IP relates specifically to the movies Universal Studios released from the 1920s to the 1950s. They’re the black-and-white, Lon Chaney films. Not Spielberg.

Saying “Jaws is a classic monster” is like saying “Secret of NIMH is a Disney movie.” The inaccuracy is understandable; it’s still inaccurate.
