Some sort of kids area will be needed if KidZone is axed. Kirby may not be there, but there has to be a kid area, right?

Na'vi River Journey is a decent example for comparison on a base level.

Also want to give a shout out to NeoGAF, I've tried to register there a few times to talk about this expansion but always get turned down.

Sorry to hear that. Myself (The Xtortionist - look for my Persona meme'd-out avatar :p) and a few other posters have been keeping up with the discussion here and passing it along in various threads. I suspect there will be a dedicated SNW construction/hype thread at some point after things get rolling (especially stateside), and it would be great to have your insight for that.

Not sure why you would get rejected. IIRC the only requirement is an email address from a domain that can't be accessed for free (so something like a cable company or school email would suffice). Hope it works out eventually.

The biggest bummer I doubt the land will cover that much space now :( and be a lot smaller.

Probably the same space (maybe except for the Zelda section), but slightly different use.

It might be even bigger now if E.T. is getting the axe.

If they use all that space that had for the original plan for just Mario thing I will be happy because that was stacked and looked to have enough capacity for everyone and not be super crowded as there was tons to do. I'm hoping for the same with the current plans.

I would think snapping plant desserts and spotted mushroom cupcakes would sell quite well.

Back on the concept artwork... I was a bit baffled by the upper purple areas as purple isn't that prevalent from what I recalled. Last I saw, rainbow road and some blue sky (not the term) area will be in the upper level. After much rainbow the road descends downward to the bowser fire pits area. Cool stuff happens everywhere but fun stuff happens in the fire pits. At least I found it cool!

The promising thing is how Japan's UC team is better suited for this as they have had to make attractions three times a year experimenting with different techniques and ideas compared to the one focused mainly on Florida. They know how to please IP holders better and create 100% fun and creative ideas ranging from walkthroughs, escape rooms, 4D attractions, shows, and rides compared to the UOR/USH team.

Japan's UC team would likely be much more passionate about Nintendo too.

Here's hoping this is all real. The concept art looks awesome. Surprised that they'd think to put all this in one land though.

Writing out all the text from the map, some of it is hard to read:

Mario Luigi's Pizza
Koopa Troops Spinning Shells (FLAT RIDE)
Bullet Bills Flying Ride (FLAT RIDE)
Interactive Gaming
World of Nintendo Superstore

Kirby's Kid's Playland
Wet Play Area
Kirby Round Ride (FLAT RIDE)

Donkey Kong Island
Monkey Mine's Madness Coaster (RIDE)
Kong Jungle Playground

Super Mario World (Multi-level)

Super Mario Kart Ride (Ground Level) (RIDE)
Luigi's Mansion Interactive Target Play Area (Mid Level)
Bowser's Koopaling Airship Ride (Upper Level) (RIDE)

Zelda's Kingdom
Hyrule Castle Attraction
Kokiri Forest Village
Deku Tree
Interactive Experience

and Character Stage in the middle

3 major rides (Coaster, Mario Kart, hyrule)

4 minor rides

multiple interactive areas, and a big nintendo store, and plenty of kid stuff around to help with the loss of kidzone. (including a wet area)

Pretty bummed all of this isn't happening. I mean- talk about a Star Wars negator. Granted, having Zelda here was a little odd- but that'd be some tremendous ROI if I'm universal. Zelda, Mario, DK, Kirby, Pokémon would be insane on merchandise and unique food and beverage items. It'd likely outshine Harry Potter.

I'm loving the kid friendly flats and interactive play areas and splash area. In particular, because it doesn't take away any space due to the multiple levels.
Game changer here. My only thought is- why allow this leak, unless what you're bringing in is even better. Otherwise, we'll just compare to what "could have been"

Well, for one, it'd be nice for these other elements to be expanded rather than shoved and cobbled together. Don't forget that just because you don't see it anymore doesn't mean there aren't future plans.

What? This is being designed in Orlando at the main UC campus. The model is in a UOR soundstage. Nintendo reps fly to Orlando all the time.

HHN's going to lose a house location in this, I gather. And they'd have to cram in two queues for the sprung tents. If they use the "newer" parade building in its place, that would be 3 queues crammed back there.

How do you enlarge those photos enough to see the little details? (I for the life of me can not figure that out)

I think what you saw was a false enlargement... meaning, the details weren't any clearer. In this case, the size that was posted is the only size that there is. I checked on at least one of them.

Often, you can drag and drop a picture from Twitter into a new window or copy it and paste it into a new browser window url. This isn't always possible however, for reasons I have not yet figured out. Just be tenacious about it. ;)

The bullet bills thing seems to have a multi-channel track that squiggles around the building. That's cute. Presumably on a middle level. I hope that stays.

For those who can't see the squiggle... it goes over the entry walkway before circling the store and returning to the station - the ride starts over the end of the castle building and loop around and does a few curves and follows the building in parts. In and out and over open areas.

It's not a flat ride. It's like the Suess Trolly or TTA.
