Like the Wolfman is covered in hair and is from what it looks like a full costume like head to toes. You'd think with Gillman they could make a modified version of that


Or do something like they had for the scarezone but make it all green. Anyway, I don't need a full house but including him would be nice

Not bad! Sounding like a solid year. I don’t buy some of the locations though. I think Sinners makes far more sense in H-lot than in the UBE especially considering it will be VERY popular.

Should this pan out, there'd be two properties I'd super excited about (Sinners and Hellraiser), two I'll likely enjoy but could also live without (Terrifier Tram and Hollywood Harry), and the rest I barely care about at all.

While I've enjoyed the Latin themed mazes, they're starting to feel pretty repetitive to me as well as a near-deliberate snub of anything Asian Horror related (which is such a huge genre... Knott's has had Asian themed mazes, so don't tell me it can't be done). The omission is getting pretty glaring.

Its hard because of the local culture I get it but also they should for sure try Asian Horror next. I know its somewhat different but Anime is killing it at fan fest, so if done right could be another market your hitting that brings in new people to the event

With the plaza as well being used for Mexican food, I wonder if its just something the USH team thinks just works so keeps doing it.

Anyway, would love them to give us an eastern themed scarezone and then make it a house like Holidays in hell

They should do a K-Horror themed house. Either adapt a movie or a folk legend or do a "Trickster from DBD but with a different name" house.

That having been said, the proposed theme for this year sounds like more of a slasher vs a folklore maze, so it's different enough from the other year's to get me excited.

They have done Sadako over in USJ a few times, so it can be done. They just need an audience.

For better or worse, I think the popularity of J-Horror and K-Horror in SoCal is more IP-based than Latin Horror is. In particular, Mexican Horror folklore is a long oral history that is woven into the fiber of SoCal in a way that Asian Horror isn’t.

I would say that for that reason if Asian horror was to come, they would want to try something smaller in scale first (like a scarezone, which could happen this year since no one knows yet). Or, something more established (an IP-based Asian horror house, which I could see in the near future).

Ages ago, Knott's did do the Grudge (although to be honest, I believe it was technically Grudge 2). It was the first (and maybe only?) IP maze they ever did.

But even Shadowlands was fun and unique. I know HHN messed up with an unfortunate Asian "Fu Man Chu" like costume a while ago which has likely made them skittish to revisit Asian culture. I also realize that there's a very large Latin market in LA that's well worth tapping in to, so I do get why they'd lean into that. But enough time has gone by to give it another go. Can you imagine Uzumaki as a maze?

Really hoping this one bears out. Every IP looks like it'd hit for me, and while I'm meh on another Latin maze I'm Hollywood Harry's strongest soldier. Not *as* strong as last years, but they aren't going to be able to top Terrifier's horror nights debut the same year Jason Vorhees returns to horror for a long time in my book.

By group's been tired of the Monstrous theme for awhile. If we can't try Asian or African or Eastern European folklore for a year, I hope they at least try a different setting within Latin America other than the rural stuff they used for La Llorna and Monstrous. In Mexico alone, an urban maze in Mexico City or in the Yucatan jungle would refresh the whole thing nicely.

Honestly, that's an AMAZING lineup and may warrant multiple visits from me if they pull it off well on my first trip. It feels more in line of what I think Horror Nights should be doing, oppose to the last couple of years which almost felt too family friendly (I know that's an insane thing to say with Terrifier at the event, but I'm sure you get what I mean).

-Sinners - HUGE. The "current" big hit that everyone wants to see.
-Killceñera - Fun idea. I can imagine that El Cucuy kids party scene but with teens. It works pretty well. I'm just hoping this doesn't just turn into another random folklore maze and we get another thrown in secret repeat. Or what could be really fun is let's say they do re-use some folklore icons (La Llorona, El Cucuy, etc), but they're all attacking the quince in various ways. Kinda gives it a singular storyline instead of the tomb concept, which I think we're all done with by now.
-Ozzy Osbourne - I hated Black Sabbath: 13, but I'm willing to see them give this another shot without the 3D element, which I think is part of what ruined it the first time.
-Evil Dead Burn - Love the Evil Dead franchise. It's use at HHN has been across the board (amazing = Evil Dead Rise, decent = Evil Dead remake, terrible = Ash vs. Evil Dead). The new trailer for this looks cool, so excited for the IP to be back (still waiting on the OG though, dammit!)
-Hellraiser - I am not a fan of this IP but I cannot deny these movies can get GNARLY. This should be pretty insane.
-Hollywood Harry - The trams were good, I think it could work very well as a maze. The tone was dark enough without leaning too heavily into the goofy clown-isms.
-Stranger Things - If this is as light as it gets, we're doing well. Season 5 had some cool stuff. None of the mazes have been knock outs, but I am hoping this time they just do Vecna right and make him truly scary.
-Killer Klowns from Outer Space - Huge L, but oh well, everything else is kind of a winner, so I'm not too mad.
Terrifier Tram - Fun use of the IP without clogging up maze space.

I wonder if this will be the last year for Dia De Los Muertos + the Latin American original format.

With the way things seem to be shaping for Treatment 1 of 2027, it seems they're cracking out the foreign language house first (with an actor as part of it), to where I wonder if they already have intent to make this year the best it can be.

Would be interesting to see how they gamble on a new myth + party vibe for the event, at the very least.

Watching the trailer of Burn, and it kind of really doesn't jive with me the same way Rise did. It feels like The Hangover: Part 2, of Evil Dead's. Hoping to be wrong with the final result, but the move it has in release dates where it might get snuffed out by larger films does worry me (a potentially bad movie doesn't necessarily mean a potentially bad house either. We've had great houses based on crap films, so it isn't impossible).

Ozzy makes me wonder. Back in the day, it had been said by Murdy publicly I believe, that he had multiple music artists approach him in considering and examining the possibilities of doing a music based house (especially following what Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy managed to do).

I wonder if this is a circumstance to where Ozzy has been a thing early on (considering how early it is for events to now be developed--case in point, he has already confirmed 2027 began work in January), and might've needed to be reworked a bit following his death. A unique thought, atleast.

So its a good year to see if the Horror Fans and General Public align, because for sure sometimes us theme park fans just have different tastes from the public (cough couch like anime coming to the parks, fan don't seem to care but the public clearly loves it)

Also note just because on paper I'm not too excited doesn't mean I can't love the event, I had no want for WWE but it was a fantastic house....so always open for them to blow me away with something thats not in my interest. Stranger things for me has a lot to prove the last 3 houses I've done with this IP for me...just sucked and hearing how meh the finale for this show is.....I just don't get why Netflix doesn't show this IP real love

The truth of the matter is every year is special to someone for different reasons especially if it’s their first experience. I understand your perspective. For me, I’m going for Hellraiser, Evil Dead Burn, and Terrifier Tram. Sinners will be the most popular/busiest house this year. The biggest miss (surprisingly) is KKFOS. As much as I don’t like ST, I expected it. If the theme from the beginning featured clowns, I really would’ve enjoyed the addition of Clown in A Cornfield. This lineup is a step above 2024.

Ohhh I was here, and its once again the discount of Horror Fans from the General HHN goer.

I'm pretty sure last year i made it clear through the whole season that the line up was killer besides WWE which isn't my thing/I'm against the leadership but even then said that the house could be great which it was.

This year isn't bad, its just not flashy like last year and a few of the fandoms aren't really like online. Even Strangers things to me that is like avatar, it had fans but not like most are going to be going crazy online they will just show. Sinners is like so fresh that while people are going to be excited to go its not like it has a huge Fandom.
Killer Clowns and Hellraiser are for sure more cult classics and even Evil Dead while the last film did well its kind of a cult classics group as well but the Fandom is growing from the more recent films and the hype for the new movie.
Music IPs also are kind of like just more people show up , not doubt people will be there in outfits for Ozzy Osbourne but once again your not going to hear much just people showing up
The two new Original houses will hype up the HHN fan base because they seem to like anything not tied to an IP

The one I'm kind of most interested to see the reaction from is Art taking over the Tram, the Tram gets very solid numbers but normally there is not line up more near 9 PM but could that change with Art taking over the Tram? I hide of hope not because I love getting on that so quickly but we could see the Terror Tram with longer lines for most the night

Anyway those are just my thoughts and honestly HHN should do well again, I was thinking the bad gas prices and economy would hurt fan fest but nope. Food lines are insane EA sold out for many nights and the event is packed....so unless like something really bad happens I don't expect this year to do bad at all
