Assuming there’s any validity to this, I find it baffling they’re doing Stranger Things still and not Resident Evil, unless I’m misinterpreting the burning book?

Burning book… Evil Dead? Ash did have to burn in it order to kill the deadites in the first film. Also the sequel for Rise is Evil Dead Burn after all.

Glad to see Sinners is still likely!

And it looks like those bags are garbage bags meaning Terrifier?

Bummed about Resident Evil…

Resident Evil would’ve been hype that was honestly carrying the lineup for me. As awesome as sinners is I’m worried about it. That’s a really easy one to screw up.

I'd say Hellraiser and the Jack vs Hollywood Harry one still have me intrigued for this lineup, I guess I'm just being bitter about no RE, is all. Wonder if it was happening to begin with or got canned?

Burning Book = "the burn book" = Mean Girls house

Dancing skeletons = Dirty Dancing house

You're welcome.

There’s no chance we get a FOURTH house based off an Evil Dead sequel before a house based off the original trilogy, or even just one of the original films

Would the two dancing skeletons be a shared original? Or an IP?

[EDIT] Also not sure how the rumored Halloween house fits into the spec map (maybe they’re being cheeky with the knife?), but it made me think. Since we have gotten “encores” of both the 2015 and 2018 house (based on 1 and 4, respectively) could this be an encore of the 2016 house based on Halloween II? Universal distributed both II and III so probably the easiest rights-wise as well…

I thought the rumored Halloween house was off the map and would likely be in the other H-Lot tent if it is coming (similar placement to Poltergeist as a repeat). I was interested to see it went back to anonymous, as if suggesting that Halloween is off the table. Personally, that rumor made a lot of sense to me, especially with the lineup as rumored not really having a classic slasher (Pinhead / Hellraiser and even Evil Dead are certainly classic horror properties so arguably close enough, but not quite the same).

IPs that I'm still holding out hope for:

- SCREAM (30th Anniversary + new movie)
- Silent Hill (new movie, recent game, Murdy's desire)
- FNAF 2 (so much to play with + merch sales)
- Resident Evil (30th Anniversary, BabyMetal collab for 30th, new game, unrelated "original" movie)
- Ice Nine Kills (Welcome to Horrorwood, Silver Scream, they literally made an original movie concept + 2 books & 2 graphic novels, Murdy & Spencer were at HHN 2025)

Probably forgetting something, but those are the relevant IPs that hold some kind of weight to actually happen this year..

I think whatever goes in the last slot is likely a repeat. We have had at least one “encore” house each year since 2018 (with the notable exception of 2024, which had 5 houses that were “continuations” of other houses so you can argue it was sprinkled around).

If the lineup stays consistent—a lot of new blood this year, which is what I think the event needs.

It's been Texas Chainsaw or Halloween every other year, and last time was Chainsaw's turn. We're due for another Halloween if the pattern holds. The hardcore fans usually react negatively on Michael coming back but he always draws a big crowd.

I'm still holding out for Halloween 3 based on the Murdy tweets about finishing a house that *almost* happened in 2018, which fits Halloween 3 to a T. But it could also mean another run of Halloween 4.

Except "Halloween 3" almost happening was post-2020 apocalypse not 2018. In 2018, it was the Blumhouse sequel initially in development before H4 happened

In 2021, H3 was far enough along to be the Silver Shamrock factory for the facade before being changed to H4 2.0. They're not going to waste limited resources for a fake-out to mess with fans, especially when pressed for time constraints as it is.

Halloween 3 would easily jump to the top of my hype list for the year, along with Hellraiser. If it's any of the Halloween films with Michael, I'll still be more than down for that, but agree it would be less exciting.

Don't know what's going on with the 9th house--but I do know they are going to use UES for Fan Fest Nights as a proper experience. Could just be a moment of cold feet for sources internally on the hesitation (especially as Murdy seems to of just completeted the 7th house Treatment; which seems to be Killer Klowns?)

Killer Klowns round 3 is very disappointing. If it’s true this would be the first time they’ve related house (Like copy + paste repeat) for a third time. Ugh.

My hope is that this version (assuming it's in H-Lot South) has the opportunity to explore and reinstate certain things. The location is larger than either Mummy or T-Pad, so hopefully they could pull a Ghostbusters and raise the tent further upwards to bring the once planned "Knock my Block Off" and the full-size Klownzilla to the mix.

I don't count out UES for this year, but if it is present, then I suspect they might be just opting for a simple black tent.
