Putting the hotel on one side of the Main Street/Hollywood is interesting as it takes away significant space for attractions. I’m sure they’ll make plenty of money with their hotel, though

The previous 2 Universal parks have Lights, Camera, Action in Hollywood. This one throws me off because it appears to only have 1 show building in Hollywood and it has 2 large facade on both sides of it (Jaws/Dreamworks Theater art deco)

Hopefully the Minions land has its own original attraction instead of Minion Mayhem. So tired of seeing it cloned everywhere.

It’s wild looking at the design changes of these parks throughout the years- USJ was a clone of USF, then Singapore, Beijing and now this are essentially the IOA layout

4 different lands (said by Comcast CEO)
-BTTF
-Jurassic
-Shrek/LOTR
-Minions

-Hollywood contains the little jaws looking area and little area to the left ?

BBC News said will contain Jurassic and Minions lands in their video segment, and Mike Cavanagh says the park will have 4 lands in the video.

Looks like the play area in the Jurassic World section is going to be Camp Cretaceous. They had Yellow Canopies in the show. So that's pretty exciting. That would be a first, as there hasn't been any camp cretaceous theming yet in any universal park(Frisco will, so it may be interesting to see if that small section of Jurassic world would be a clone of whats going to be in Frisco).

Just because something gets announced for the UK first doesn't mean it'll open here first; 2031 is still a long way off.

Although as a UK-based person, I'm obviously biased to want to get at least a few things which are world exclusives when the park opens.

I imagine Universal want people from all over to come to the UK for their park, and having some exclusive experiences here is one of the best ways to do that.

First thing, yeah I realize that just because it’s assumed here in the concept art doesn’t mean Japan or the US won’t get it first. Just slightly concerning.
Pokémon (as the biggest entertainment and top grossing IP in the world) needs to be in Japan or in America (the two most representable markets toward its top grossing spot) before it should go anywhere else.

Also DO NOT feel bad that you want some exclusivity to your park, if anything you should demand the value of it as a consumer. Whatever that thing is though shouldn’t be Pokémon.

Seriously, this doesn't make sense, in Japan we have a Studio Tour and a Universal Theme Park in the same place with 2 hours of difference.

In China the same thing, there is a Harry Potter in Universal and a Studio Tour wil be open in 2027

Harry Potter ir ths biggest franchise in UK

At first glance, taking the art at face value, it looks like an enviable lineup.

If this park gets a JAWS ride, it will be final proof that I really am being trolled by Universal at the highest levels.

USO continuing to be the only park with no Waterworld feels like the ultimate troll to me!

Not that anyone asked, but here's my predictions for Universal Studios Great Britain, mixing strong rumours and speculation for lands with my own guesswork for what'll actually be in each of them. I tried to study the concept art as best as I could so I wasn't just making wild guesses into the void, and I kept these sets of predictions grounded in reality, not my own fantasy.

If anyone cares, once I made this I also made a dream park version of this concept art breakdown, that featured the things I thought would actually be the most interesting and cool for the park, instead of what I genuinely expect will be greenlit. I'll post it if there's interest.

If anyone else wants to make their 'Bingo cards' for what we'll see, please go ahead, it'll be fun to see who guesses the closest to the eventually announced attraction line-up!USGB predictions.jpg

I hate to be that guy, but anybody else having a hard time getting excited for this? I can't see this ever being built. We're about to be in a global depression the way things are going, even if I can't discuss why because of politics.

So is Hill Valley a de facto 80s land or a 50s land?

Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but I feel like it has to happen seeing as it's now been officially announced. From my POV, although globally we are all facing economic hardship, the UK isn't gonna be the worst hit, and we'll draw a lot of guests from neighbour EU countries too. I think there will be enough middle-income guests to meet Universal's desired 8 million attendees in year 1

I'm predicting 80s as it makes the most sense, it's main Doc and Marty's era, the most iconic version of the town we see consistently throughout the series, and it allows us to time travel from the 'neutral', 'main' time period to the wacky variants like the 50s and 2015

See when I think of BTTF (and what Universal thinks of BTTF, considering FFN has it in 1955); 1955 is where all of the most iconic moments of the series have gone down in (for the majority).

The Lightning strike, Marty being chased after by biff; the dance. I think there's a bit of options that works really well with the 1955 period (plus it makes it americana and classical americana at that).

4 Lands per Comcast CEO makes this really hard to decipher otherwise Jurassic World is massively huge chunk of land.

My guess is this concept art will prove to be really inaccurate down the line and just exists to be illustrative for now. Like with Beijing getting clearer and different concept art later on, USGB will get better - final - concept art in time

Wicked For Good will be interesting when they go to Jurassic World after leaving Emerald City! ;)

This is something I saw from a UK person, and it also explains why BTTF is still going strong in the UK while it's more niche in the USA.

I think BTTF makes a lot of sense for UK now.

I think BTTF has always had a dated sense of "Timelessness" that works really freaking well for Universal. The UK market in this case, feels prime for that potential in a way that genuinely makes a lot of sense (*also I find it funny that the one thing from the 90's attempt of Europe finally panned out*).

Wicked being absent in the artwork (yes, I think Jurassic is that big) makes me wonder if it's a result of the artwork being outdated and that we'll see the Shrek area not exist in future artwork. I genuinely think they'd want to have Wicked be a core tenant as part of the UK parks; like that of Minions, Jurassic, BTTF, and Paddington.

As a British person, yes, I can attest that BTTF is very popular here. When I've been talking to people today (not theme park fans, particularly) about the park and the potential areas that could be in it, BTTF is by far the idea they were most excited by.
