Yes I know we have a Dreamworks land and The Wild Robot is a Dreamworks movie but this movie is the best movie of the year and the best animated movie in a decade.
So how do we slap it in this huge building location? Simple, we enter a bookstore and walk trough the book The Wild Robot. The queue explains the journey of making the movie and it's transition from book to movie. We step into the dark ride vehicle and enter the movie screen to experience a new story. The story has a bit of excitement but mainly wonderment, something Universal rides seem to miss. It would make this park an instant contender for best park in Orlando.
And please watch this movie for your soul and hart.

While I appreciate and echo your enthusiasm for the movie, I'm not sure this sort of blue sky/armchair thinking is appropriate for the Fast and Furious Supercharged thread.

Walking through this for the Major Sweets house was strange.

Cars all still there but no music or video on.

Guess we are on re-opening watch starting next month ...

Had a friend at UOR a month or two ago. I know it was his first full vacation at Universal, can’t recall if he’d been to the parks before this outside of USH. When asking about the trip he said “We were bummed the Fast & Furious coaster was down” and Im like….. it’s a 3D ride in a party bus. He legitimately could not tell if I was sarcastic or not. I explained I was not, and he just said “weird choice” and kept on sipping his beer.

It’s still insane how much they absolutely missed the mark on this attraction.

Wouldn't have surprised me if it never reopened but holidays need more ride capacity, I guess.

Or maybe Vin Diesel has it in his contract that he has to approve its closure ha.

This question was posed in the HRRR thread but I wanted to follow the rules and stay on topic there. With all of the talk of HRRR replacement being FnF, have we ruled out Supercharged being absorbed into Diagon and just reconfiguring the buses to Knight buses and changing the screens and theming? I could see that being an easy swap, just have to account for the backstage area access area between the building and Kings Cross

This has been speculated on quite a bit. Most are hoping Universal doesn't go this route as that would be the textbook definition of lazy.

With how large the acreage is of the Supercharged plot, you could raze it and build pretty much any type of ride you want.

Personally, I'd like to see it become a Wicked ride, where you travel to the Emerald City and the party buses become the green trains.

As others have said, I’ll be happy with just about any replacement as long as it guts the building and removes the 360-screen/bus vehicles. I just don’t find the tech that impressive. Kong gets away with it by fusing it with other elements, but even then the 360 screen is the low-point of the attraction. FnF is essentially JUST the screen with a single empty scene beforehand. Not worth reusing IMO

This huge showbuilding screams to be a Universals Epic Movie Ride. Universal has a concept of a ride vehicle that can drive like a car, a boat and can fly. I'd envision a ride with scene's from Back to the Future (you witness the clocktower scene and just in time your car will fly away), Earthquake (when the dust settles you are in a subway when a Earthquake starts, thankfully you make it out to find yourself in...), The Birds (the town of Bordega bay is overrun by birds, you drive into a boathouse building as the birds attack and when the birds eventually turn the building pitchblack...), The Wild Robot (you open your eyes and are flying with the ducks leaving your robot mom behind as you turn around (this will be all screen) and when you land for a storm everything gets dark and it starts to rain), Jaws (and you are on water in the middle of the sea and it's very dark except for a shark fin that comes closer, you find a boathouse but the attack keeps getting more violent until the storm is over and we find ourself back at the exit). The total ride time will be significant.

Yeah when the time comes for this, I want this entire thing flattened. It takes up SO much space and could really be replaced with ANYTHING they want to do.

If they flattened this, they could expand London and give us a Potter dark ride here. It’s insane how much space there is here.

Yep. Before Epic was so close to opening, I thought a Potter dark ride or Knight Bus redo of FFS was a great possibility. But now that Epic Paris/London is so close to opening, I doubt that Universal will expand the Diagon/Potter area. FFS is a new building, so it makes business sense to adapt it to a new attraction instead of tearing it down and starting over. Lots of great possibilities for a dark ride/or reuse of the present tech, and SF is so small that it wouldn't take much to change the facades to NYC, if a replacement to FFS needs a NYC setting.

There have been a few different acronyms for this ride, but this is the best one.

"FFS" is exactly what I think to myself whenever someone in my party suggests going on it. :grinning:

I think you could credibly convert the San Francisco area of the park to Baum's Chicago and have us whisked away to Oz via a suitably Midwestern tornado.

They should change it back to an earthquake themed attraction but it’s about an earthquake destroying F&F Supercharged.

They won’t ever do it but I wonder if they could keep the same ride vehicle but demo the 360 screen to build a new Earthquake. It would be just like the Hollywood tram version
