The New Universal Cinemas at Universal CityWalk Hollywood - Los Angeles:
Really hope that comes to Orlando
Heck, ours is one of the last major theaters without reserved seating. :/
That looks awesome. Also lol'd hard at Steven trotting out "Ride the Movies".
they are like 3 years too late as everything they are doing at Universal Cinema has already been occuring overseas. But this is a good upgrade at least for the mess it use to be.
Tour The New Universal Cinema at CityWalk Hollywood (Los Angeles) [HD] (2017):
Yes, I saw that too. No "pun" intended. (Hello Florida!!) =)
Here's video from Inside Universal, or us, or not yet, but will be....
Always fun to see Jason Blum and Jordan Peele messing around. They're a hoot - and the funniest guys in-person.
I got to go try the new Cinemas in the IMAX screen for F8. It's one of the last genuine IMAX theaters around, and it's equipped with 70mm film projection capabilities. The theaters themselves are excellent - the sound in particular was a significant upgrade over comparable venues. I'd argue the layout outside the theaters is confusing, though - there's no clear direction or flow, leading to some confusion on where to go and when.
I can't believe they got Spielberg for the theater opening. That's pretty wild but I know he actually hangs out at USH pretty frequently.
Considering that Amblin is on studio property, it's not surprising.
