And how did you reach this conclusion?
Kong's ceremony was delayed not cancelled. It still happened, while Frozen's never did.

No. It was cancelled. The ceremony, which was held a month and half later, was a mini version of original plans.

And how did he reach that conclusion?

Because they shoehorned their hottest IP into a 20 year old attraction. Is there an echo?

Exactly. Disney could've built a whole expansion to Fantasyland or Hollywood Studios, similar to the realm they announced for Tokyo, and they would have made megabucks. Instead, they forced it where it didn't belong, slapped it onto a short ride that isn't really meant to handle that kind of popularity, and just eked out a marginal success. I think word-of-mouth spread about the lukewarm reaction to it and it didn't have anywhere near the impact a Frozen attraction should have had.

Maybe an expansion to Fantasyland with Arendelle being added to the new FL area could happen in the future. They just did the expansion recently so maybe they didn't want to do another big expansion in same area so soon.

And because this is the Pandora thread:

It's all about IP, isn't it? Gosh.

I think the problem, is a fundamental disagreement regarding what makes theme parks a success.
    It still happened though.

How did they expect to roll in the dough with FEA when there were no ads, no restaurant, and hardly any merchandise to speak of? I mean come on.

But, once again FEA is just another example of execution trumping IP.

Looking on the WDW world website, they don't have a thrill level for Flight of Passage but they do have one for every other ride including the Navi River journey.

From Marni, probably the most reliable insider on Magic, posted a few hours ago....."Flight of Passage is having.....issues. I'm sure it'll all be fine in a few weeks. As of now though, it's not exactly running like clockwork".

Well, your actual body will be covered in the chamber that houses it while you're all Avataring it up. So, you'll be fine until you wake up. And then? Ugh. Disney will provide cleaning supplies. For a small fee. Just zap with your Magic Band and you'll be on your way.

So, where/why/how do we want to handle discussions of experiences in (on?) Pandora? New thread or just spoiler tags?

    Not this again!

I'll talk to Brian but my idea is to lock this thread once previews start and create a thread for each ride and one general for the land overall. Spoiler tags plz.
